Details:

The TWGNews Tournament will consist of 32 players brawling to become number 1. There is going to be 2 divisions, Brawlers and Smashers, of 16 players each. So in Each division the matches will consist of a 1 vs. 1. This will work similar to a MLB, or NBA playoffs.

Matches:

The matches will be a 1 vs. 1 with no items allowed. However Items will be used in the tournament, more about that after). The game will be decided by Stocks. Each player will have a total of 5 Stocks in each match. If you lose all of the stocks you will be "eliminated" and the player remaining will advance to the next round. The Stages will be picked randomly between "Final Destination" or "Battle Field". No other stages are allowed due to giving each player the same opportunity to win.

If you disconnect, you will be automatically eliminated, and also if you are not in here by the time your match is about to begin. We will give you 5 mins extra.

On another note, you will have to select the character you are going to us for each round if you decide to switch them. So let's say, for now, you will have to decide which character you will use in the 1st round. And then there is going to be a time lapse to select your character for the second round etc...

How To join:

In order to participate in the tournament, you will need to do a total of 3 steps.

1- Read and Understand all the rules.
2- Register to the forums by click here

3- And then, come back to this thread and post that you are going to participate.

In addition, when you post that you want to join please provide us with the following information: You Brawl Name, your Friend Code, and the name of the Character you are going to use in the first round. Also post in what time you live (Pacific time, EST...) and what Country.

* If you don't have a friend code, or you are not sure which character you want to use. You will be given until Wednesday to provide the anterior information.

Rounds:

In each division there is going to be a total of 4 rounds. The Finals will be between the winner of each division. There is no items allowed in none of the rounds, HOWEVER:

REALLY IMPORTANT:

If you unfortunately lose in the first round, don't beat yourself just yet. There is one more important detail that you should read. IF you lose in the first round, you still have the opportunity to win a prize. You ask how? Well let me explain it.

Consolation Round:

- This round is for the people who lose in the 1st round of each division, and is like a totally new tournament, but funner. The consolation round will be a Free for All with 4 players in each Match. And different from the other rounds, in this one, all item are allowed. The setting is going to be the same as the "Real" Tournament. However it will consist of only 16 people. There is also going to be two divisions.

The Consolation Round, will consist of 2 rounds in each division. Both of the will be free for all. With Random stages. And again All ITEMS ALLOWED. The Finals will be decided between the two players who win both free for alls. There is no Item allowed in the Final Round of the Consolation Round, and it will be in Final Destination or Battle Field. The winner of the finals will receive a prize (Look below).

Prizes:

- If you win 1st place, you will be gifted with a Virtual Console Game of your choice. Or, you can also choose to wait until the WiiWare channel launch and pick a Launch Game that you want.
- If you win in 1st place in the consolation round, you will be gifted with a SNES or NES VC game of your choice.

When:

- The tournament will be held next weekend. From Friday 14 through Sunday 16, this will give you enough time to practice and get used to Brawl.
- The time will be schedule when the matches are set. Each player should post what time is more comfortable for them.

Other Details: (Please read all, important info)

- We count with a Live Chat Room in our home page. If you would like to chat with all the participants on the tournament click on home below the forums banner. We will use this Chat the days of the tournament.
- When You register, you are able to play Arcades games in the arcades section below the banner. In addition, you can have your own avatar, PM people, have your own signature, give Karma points to other people and much more...
- We would recommend to you to post your stats of each match, since we are planning on having a ranking system when the tournament ends and see how you fall in it.
- There is also the opportunity to be spectator to these matches. In the game, you can bet which player you think will win. This will be a nice feature for the Semi-Finals and the Finals.
- We also have a TWGNews Crew. So after the tournament you are welcome to be active in the forums and be part of our community Wink

Make sure you register in his thread Rohou, or else you will not be included in the tourney. He wants your name, FC and main character. Just put FC or undecided if you don't know your main character yet and if you don't have your FC.
